THERAPY offerings

I invite you to connect to your inner wisdom, to light the path to your truest self, and navigate an authentically happy life. I offer virtual 60 minute individual and couple therapy sessions utilizing a variety of research-based modalities focused on deeper self-awareness and transformation.

My therapeutic lens combines cognitive behavioural therapy with somatic based therapies such as sensorimotor psychotherapy, natural processing, emotion focused therapy, and polyvagal theory.

Our intuition knows when we are ready to break free from the psychological obstacles, repeated patterns, and familiar barriers that hold us back from the authenticity and fulfillment we seek. Together, we will uncover how to help you shift your mindset, reframe challenges, and build new habits that align with your deepest aspirations. With focused support, we’ll work to transform the repeated cycles you find yourself in, allowing you to step into new possibilities with confidence and purpose.

Individual Therapy

Emotions are messengers that bring meaning to our experiences. We may not know how to be with them, to honour them and we may struggle. By increasing awareness of our present moment internal experience, we connect to our intuition and discover the intelligence that lies within each of us. We learn how to accept life’s challenges as avenues of curiosity and opportunities for personal growth.

Together we will harness the innate wisdom of the body to your own unique, mysterious and emergent growth path so you may liberate your potential.

Couples Therapy

Mind, body and spirit influence our relationship with self, which is the template from which we foster relationships with others. The intimate relationship we seek with our partner may be familiar to the attachment relationship we created with our caregivers.

Together we will explore the intimate dance of relationship to enhance understanding and expression of our partners needs and how to honour our own.

MODALITIES

  • Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. Mindfulness brings awareness and caring into everything we do, reducing stress. Mindfulness is proven to improve health, happiness and relationships.

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) welcomes the body as an integral source of information which can guide resourcing and process challenging traumatic and developmental experiences. SP is a holistic approach that includes somatic, emotional, and cognitive processing and integration to shift habitual physical and psychological patterns that compromise well-being. SP is helpful in working with dysregulated activation and limiting belief systems to cultivate strength and stimulate growth for lasting change and well-being.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an approach of adult attachment that explores the nature of love relationships and family bonds. EFT prioritizes emotion and emotional regulation as the key organizing agents in individual experience and key relationship interactions. EFT is helpful in expanding and re-organizing key emotional responses, creating positive shifts in partners interactional positions and patterns that foster the creation of a secure bond between partners.

  • Polyvagal Theory is the science of feeling safe, that helps us better understand our challenges and gives us a foundational framework for non-invasive ways to support them. Polyvagal Theory focuses on what is happening in the body and the nervous system, and explains how our sense of safety, or danger or threat, can impact our behavior. Polyvagal Theory is helpful in facilitating change by improving how we feel, think and connect with others.

  • Natural processing (NP) is somatically-based, process-oriented therapy integrating many approaches to healing and growth, including EMDR. NP explores our nature and how to best work with that nature to find ways to work with the potential movement and integration of our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual natures. NP is helpful in understanding our inherent drive for completion and the dilemmas that may arise, such as competition between this and the drive for survival.
